T-20 Cricket

I have always believed that cricket is not a team game. It is not even a proper sport. It is an English time pass for bored people. It is more like Chess and is a competition between the bowler and the batsmen. The other 10 fielders on the field are there to follow the game plan made by the bowler and the captain. The captain job is mainly to decide during the batting the sequence in which the batsmen go out to bat. The captain during the fielding decides the sequence in which bowlers bowl to the opposing team. I always wonder why that cannot be done by a non-playing captain.
The T-20 cricket has only gone on to prove that. One person has to fire in the team during batting and that is enough to win the game. The bowlers have been made redundant by the rules. The focus is more on the poor cheerleaders than on the game. In our country we are all preoccupied by what a girl should wear and what she should not wear. How she should dance and how she should not dance? If people are offended by the cheerleaders they should go home and watch the Saas Bahu serials. As if they are less obscene. It makes Indians look like really crazy people to pay money to only watch cheerleaders from a distance of 1 km. I wonder what they will be seeing from so far.

The IPL can try to give the cricket playing roles to the cheerleaders and the dancing roles to the cricketers. They will save on the enormous payments and the stadiums will be houseful. All the pop stars should become cheerleaders as they find so difficult to attract fans. Why spend so much money on making movies?

I hope people will stop making noises on Cheerleaders. If they do not like them they should stay at home.
